I actually wanted to sit down and write a good entry after my audio paper but I procrastinated.

My SHPS days are catching up with me. Surprisingly, I kept running into SHPS people. It was just Raihana at the beginning but then I bumped into JinPing today! Can you believe that I've known them for... a decade? How many decades do we have in a life?? Goodness, to think that the little girl who used to hold my hand in the queue is now in VJC?? And "Maria" from Founder's Day 'Sound of Music' performance 6 years ago is now playing table tennis at RJC?

But I do miss them. No matter what, I'll always remember my days in SHPS. I made very good friendships and learnt many important life lessons. Those days are unforgettable.

Something really touched me on Sat night during MS. As Girlie was singing the offering song "Wing beneath my wings", there were 2 flies flying around Jeremy's beloved lights. My mom says that these flies love the light. They will fly to the brightest spot and just flutter their wings around the lights.

Then I started thinking. Shouldn't we be like those flies? As God's chosen generation, we should love the light and hate the darkness. Once we're in the light, we should always stay in the light and use the light we have to draw other flies towards us. Like those flies who love the physical light, we should love the Light of the world.

My mom also said that in order for us to get rid of those flies, we can just place a pail of water under the light. When the flies see the reflection of the light and think that there's another brighter spot, they will dash down and into the water.

Of course, that's one characteristic we should never follow. We as believers should keep our hearts and minds open and be aware of the false prophets. Jesus is the Light of the world. He's the brightest of all the brightest lights! So keep out of the water!!

On a practical note, I'll put a pail of water under the lights whenever I see those flies. They terrify me.
